Victim Support

Gives emotional and practical help to people who have been affected by crime in Dorset. They are an independent charity and can bed contacted for support regardless of whether you've contacted the police, and no matter how long ago the crime took place. They will help you for as long as it takes to overcome the impact of crime.

ELSA
The ELSA website has resources which you can download to support your child at home with anxiety, emotions and social skills to name a few!

There is a small fee for some of the resources, but many of them are free.

 

Poole Food Bank

Poole Food Bank vouchers are issued to families in need by providing food parcels and signposting on to further support. All of the food is donated by local churches, schools and individuals - tinned and dried food is provided to ensure easy storage. Please see your Pastoral Care Worker if you require a Food Bank Voucher.

Mosaic is a Dorset wide charity offering a pathway of support to bereaved children, young people and their families.

 

CAMHS

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) teams are groups of Professionals who help children, young parents, parents and carers where there are mental health difficulties. A referral from your GP or school is required to access support (subject to certain criteria).

Children’s Centres

Local Children’s Centres welcome all families with a child under 5 in the local community. They provide support and learning opportunities as well as a welcoming, safe space for fun and play.

Relate helps adults to understand what's going on in their relationships and change things for the better.

 

Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) Poole

To help people with the everyday issues that they face. All CAB advisors are fully trained to deal with a wide range of legal problems, benefits, debt, consumer and employment rights.

 

Autism Wessex

A charity providing support, information and activities for children and young people diagnosed as on the Autism Spectrum.

 

Steps 2 Wellbeing

The Steps 2 Wellbeing service provides psychological talking therapy for adults aged 18+ such as depression, low mood, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and stress. The service offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, counselling and low intensity guided self-help.
