In February 2025, we opened our Speech, Language and Communication Needs Specialist Resource Base- Koalas' class!   The new pupils settled in amazingly to the school routine and have participated in lots of activities to help them build friendships with their peers.  

Every day, Koalas begin their morning with ‘Sensory Circuits’ before moving onto their lessons. The children have been working really hard on developing their skills in reading, writing and maths, and are provided with lots of opportunities throughout the day to practise them.

For our recent World Book Day, the children had the opportunity to join other classes for some book-related activities and even helped to decorate the classroom door to represent our book of the week!
