Poole Museum trip
Year 4 enjoyed an engaging visit to Poole Quay, where they explored how the area has changed over time. Using old photographs, the children compared past and present shop use, identifying similarities and differences. As part of their fieldwork, pupils carried out tally surveys of the different types of shops they observed as well as the types of birds they could see. This supported their Geography learning about Poole’s economic uses, as well as their Science skills in observation, data collection and classification. The trip also included a visit to the newly refurbished Poole Museum, where the children discovered more about the local area.
