We kick off the new year with our mountains topic. We thread mountains through the curriculum: writing a persuasive advert in English; give orienteering a go in PE; develop our map reading skills and learn the formations and features of mountains in Geography.

To give the children an understanding of the appeals of mountainous regions, we visit a local climbing centre to try free climbing.
